PAN Automobile Solutions Expands Heavy Commercial Vehicle Training in Uganda

PAN Automobile Solutions Limited has announced a significant expansion of its Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) training programs across Uganda, responding to a growing demand for certified professional drivers in the country’s booming transport and logistics sector.

The Kampala-based driver training institution accredited under the Standardized East African Curriculum for Drivers of Heavy Commercial Vehicles (Freight) will roll out new intake batches for bus driver certification, commercial truck operator training, and earth-moving machine courses starting this quarter.

“The transport sector is growing rapidly, and with that growth comes a serious responsibility to ensure every driver behind the wheel of a heavy vehicle is properly trained and certified,” said a spokesperson for PAN Automobile Solutions Limited. “Our programs are not just about issuing licenses they are about building competent, safety-conscious professionals.”

The expansion comes at a time when road safety agencies across East Africa have been raising alarm over the high number of accidents involving commercial vehicles. According to the Uganda Police Force’s annual road safety report, heavy commercial vehicles continue to be a leading factor in fatal road crashes, largely attributed to driver inexperience and non-compliance with traffic regulations.

PAN’s Heavy Commercial Vehicle Training curriculum covers a wide range of competencies including defensive driving techniques, load management and safety protocols, vehicle-specific operational training, and regular compliance education for drivers already working in the field.

The institution’s training grounds feature specialized driving courses replicating various road conditions, maneuvering practice areas with precision markers, and vehicle maintenance and inspection training zones all designed to mirror real-world challenges that professional drivers face daily.

The company is monitored and recognized by several key bodies including Transaid International, the National Institute of Transport (NIT), the Ministry of Works and Transport (MoWT), the Transport Licensing Board (TLB), and Professional Driver Training Uganda (PDTU), ensuring its programs meet or exceed international benchmarks.

Corporate clients in the freight, construction, and public transport industries are encouraged to contact PAN Automobile Solutions Limited to arrange group training and certification programs for their fleet operators.
